The Minister of labour and immigration, Valeriano Gomez, said Friday that in a situation such as the present the important thing is to maintain employment and has affirmed that the Government prefers one temporary to a standstill. During the press conference after the Council of Ministers has approved Royal Decree law with economic measures of the Government to promote employment, Gomez thus responded to the criticism that has received the Executive for the Elimination of the obligation to make fixed workers who string temporary contracts.
